I’ve written before on living in day-tight compartments. Something I need to continuously remind myself of.
Life becomes a whole lot better when you take it one day at a time. And today is the first day of the rest of your life.
With today as the first day of the rest of your life, what is the fundamental challenge? There are any number of things you can do today, but making lists and bossing yourself around isn’t what this is about. There’s something way deeper than that.
There’s a spiritual fundamental that is today’s challenge. It’s as deep as it goes. And it will also be tomorrow’s challenge, too. If fact, it will be everyday’s challenge while you’re a human on planet earth.
The spiritual fundamental that is today’s challenge is two fold:
This is simple in theory, and obvious. However, you overlook it on a regular basis. It’s like lifting weights. “There ain’t nothing to it but to do it.” But getting yourself to do it, consistently, is the real challenge.
So how do you do it?
Your positive intent is always there, but it gets covered up. The only thing you need to do is uncover it.
You do this by clearing out your mind and becoming aligned with the present moment. You get quiet. What’s left is intent.
Now you’re free to point this intent onto how you want to be, and what you want to happen.
It’s easy to go through life luke-warm. This is one of the things Jesus warned us about. Being luke-warm is being half alive. And being half alive is hell.
Heaven is found through intensity. Intense LIFE.
Breath intensity into yourself. Breath after breath feel the intensity rise. Keep doing this every morning until you’re ready to blast into the day.
